Bombay High Court at Goa ordered release of 7 detained anti-ECI protesters
In a special Sunday sitting, the Bombay High Court at Goa ordered the immediate release of seven people detained at Panaji's Azad Maidan over protests against the Election Commission, saying the detention may not have been authorised as no Section 163 BNSS prohibitory order was in force. Police said the North Goa Collector had rejected the group's application on 9 October and an executive magistrate orally ordered the detention. Documented
Bar and BenchCJP alleges supporters detained on the way to Delhi
CJP said 15 to 30 students and members travelling from Pune were taken off the Goa Express at Itarsi Junction in Madhya Pradesh by police and GRP, that activists from West Bengal, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were intercepted, and that spokesperson Deepak Baliyan was assaulted by police in Rajasthan. Police have not confirmed these accounts. CJP said Dipke, Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das would land at IGI Terminal 3 on Saturday morning. Claim
