Section 163 BNSS prohibitory orders are in force across New Delhi district, and police have refused permission for the protest.

Documented Delhi Traffic Police said "traffic diversions and restrictions may be imposed at various locations across Delhi on 10.10.2026 from 06:00 AM". It asked motorists "to remain patient, follow traffic rules and cooperate with traffic personnel" and to "follow diversion signs and traffic directions to avoid congestion." Daily Jagran

When we checked the Delhi Traffic Police website on the night of 9 October, its advisory list did not show the CJP protest advisory. It showed other advisories covering 10 October, including the India Mobile Congress at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka (7 to 10 October) and the Radha Soami Satsang at Bhati Mines (9 to 11 October). Section 163 BNSS orders in New Delhi district
Documented Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita is in force in New Delhi district for 10 October. The Tribune Joint CP Nupur Prasad said on 9 October that it prohibits any gathering or demonstration in the area. Asianet Newsable/ANI

- carrying firearms, weapons, lathis, sticks, swords, brickbats or other dangerous objects;
- slogans and speeches as part of unauthorised gatherings.
Government's position The DCP (New Delhi) said the order is in force "to ensure public safety, public order and smooth traffic movement."
