Is the Cockroach Janta Party funded from abroad, by Pakistan or George Soros?

Union ministers and state BJP leaders alleged a foreign hand behind the 2026 youth movement. None has produced evidence.

Since May 2026 Union ministers and BJP leaders have said the Cockroach Janta Party is backed or funded from abroad, naming Pakistan and George Soros. There is no evidence for this: no documents have been produced, courts dismissed petitions seeking probes into the party, and the Ministry of External Affairs said it had "no information to share".

Context

What is documented is a domestic political link: Dipke worked for the Aam Aadmi Party from 2020 to 2023, which he acknowledges. The Wire Opposition leaders also openly backed the movement. Kiren Rijiju spoke of a "Pakistan & George Soros gang", and Telangana BJP chief N. Ramchander Rao alleged Soros links. Neither produced evidence.

Did any court order a probe into CJP funding?

No. The Supreme Court and the Allahabad High Court dismissed petitions seeking agency probes into the party.

How is the CJP funded?

It says it is "funded by nothing" and runs on donated supplies. It has not published audited accounts.
